General Tso's Air Fryer Brussels Sprouts
General Tso's is a classic Chinese American dish that is sweet and spicy. This version is made with Brussels sprouts and it is prepared in the air fryer. It is perfect for a quick and healthy dinner.
General Tso's Air Fried Brussels Sprouts
Serves 1 as a main or 2 side dishes
Ingredients:
2 cups Brussels sprouts, chopped
1 teaspoon neutral oil
1 tablespoon ginger, finely minced
1 teaspoon garlic, finely minced
4 tablespoons hoisin sauce
2 tablespoon light soy sauce
1 tablespoon sugar
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
spray oil
green onion, optional
sesame seeds, optional
Directions:
Place the Brussels sprouts in the air fryer basket, spray with oil, and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 15 minutes at 375 degrees. Flip halfway through to cook evenly.
Meanwhile, make the sauce. Heat oil in a small saucepan, add the ginger and garlic and warm until fragrant.
Add the rest of the ingredients and boil until thick.
Once the Brussels sprouts are done, transfer to a bowl. Add the green onion and the sauce stir to combine.
Serve with rice.
